Hello, ladies and gentlemen. It is an honor to stand here on this TED stage today to share with you some insights I have gained over the years.

For me, life isn't just a set of actions that one has to take in order to survive. It should be an adventure, full of discoveries, triumphs, and failures. Because, at the end of the day, these experiences shape us and make us who we are.

The problem, though, is that most people live a life of monotony, routine and unfulfilled dreams. They are trapped in their own mental prisons and fail to see the opportunities that lie around them.

I was one of those people, until I decided to break free from my own limitations and pursue my dreams. It wasn't an easy journey, but it was worth it. The lessons I learned along the way have helped me to become a better person, a better writer and a better human being.

The first lesson I learned is that nothing is impossible. If you set your mind to something and work hard enough for it, you can achieve anything.

I wanted to become a writer ever since I was a child, but I never had the courage to pursue my dream. Instead, I went to law school, got a degree, and started working as a lawyer. But deep down, I knew that wasn't what I truly wanted.

So, I quit my job and started writing. It wasn't easy. I faced rejection after rejection, but I didn't give up. Eventually, I got my first book published, and that was the beginning of a new chapter in my life.

The second lesson is the importance of embracing failure. Failure is not the opposite of success, but a necessary part of it.

I failed numerous times before getting my book published. But every time I failed, I learned something new. Failure taught me resilience and persistence. It helped me to develop my writing skills and improve my craft.

The third lesson is the importance of taking risks. Life is all about taking chances and stepping out of your comfort zone.

When I quit my job to become a writer, I was taking a risk. But that risk paid off. If I had stayed in my comfort zone and continued working as a lawyer, I would have never known what it felt like to be a published author.

So, my message to you today is this: don't be afraid to dream big, to take risks, and to fail. Because it is through these experiences that we grow and become better versions of ourselves.

Thank you for listening.
