摘要：This arrangement contains two digital pulse-duration modulators having limitedresolution. The first digital pulse duration modulator supplies a first periodic pulse
sequence which is pulse-duration-modulated with the quantisation value of the inputvariable, corresponding to the limited resolution, neglecting the quantisation remainder.The second pulse duration modulator supplies a second periodic pulse sequence which ispulse-duration-modulated with the sum of the quantisation value corresponding to thelimited resolution and the quantisation remainder multiplied by a predetermined factor.A switch-over arrangement alternately switches through the pulses of the two pulsesequences to an averaging circuit in such a manner that the ratio of the number of pulsesof the second pulse sequence switched through to the total number of pulses switchedthrough is equal to the inverse value of the predetermined factor. The averaging circuitforms the direct-signal average of the pulses switched through which results in anincreased resolution in comparison with the limited resolution of the digital pulse-duration modulators. ……
