摘要：In an optical disc drive, a rapid access to a target track within a program area isenabled in case of accidental reentry of an optical pick- up into a lead-in area during anaccess operation. Upon mounting a compact disc, a maximum relative address TLm withinthe lead- in area is detected and stored in a memory. If it is found during an accessingoperation that a current position lies within the lead-in area, a total number of tracksinterposed between the current position and the target position within the program areacan be obtained based on a current address, the maximum relative address and a targetaddress of the target position, thereby achieving a high speed accessing operation.
