摘要：A data communication method includes the steps of: sending a communicationprocedure signal prior to data communication; sending a data signal; and sending a stopsignal for stopping an echo suppressor function on a communication network; whereinthe stop signal is sent prior to the data signal in such a way that a time interval duringwhich no signal is generated does not occur, after the stop signal is sent, until the datasignal is sent. A data communication apparatus includes: a communication unit for sendingand receiving a data signal; a discrimination unit for discriminating if the apparatus is acalling station; and a control unit for controlling to change a communication controllingmode based on the output from the discrimination unit.
