摘要：In a method and the corresponding apparatus for operating an internalcombustion engine with a plurality of cylinders (Z to Z) which are assigned in each caseone injection valve () for metering in fuel, a control apparatus () is provided with in eachcase one output stage () for actuating the injection valves () of the plurality of cylinders.Here, first of all work injection operations (P to P) are determined for a cylinder (CYL_i)with the duration and positioning in relation to the crankshaft rotary angle. Followingthis, late injection operations (P), which are required in certain operating modes, for thepreceding cylinder (CYL_i−1) in the ignition sequence are arranged in a setpointcrankshaft angular range (SB) in such a way that no temporal overlaps occur betweenindividual work and late injection operations.
