本单元要求学生学会询问及描述人物或事物的基本情况(姓名,身高,体重,健康状况等)。分析教材,本单元的难点主要在数字及身高、体重单位的表达上。 学情分析:
在前面学生已学习了“How old are you?”这一句型,这对学生来说不是难点。而作为理解如何进行询问及描述人物或事物的基本情况,则是一大难点,学生运用情况可能会不理想,需要在活动中不断巩固。
Period 1
【教学目标】
1、能听懂、会说单词heavy; light; tall;weak; worried
2、掌握句型 “How old/tall/heavy are you?” 并能用该句型询问及描述人物或事物的基本情况。
3、让学生体会加强体育锻炼和改变饮食习惯,可以在一定程度上可以改变现有的不好的身体状况。 【教学重点】
重点:掌握新单词,及运用句型 “How old/tall/heavy are you?” 进行关于询问及描述人物或事物的基本情况。
难点:能通过阅读A部分课文完成C部分的问答。 【教学方法】 听说法、交际法 【课前准备】

【教学过程】
Step 1 Warming up
1. Exchange greetings.
2. Sing the song of Number song. Step 2 Presentation and drill
1. Ask students:“How old are you?” “I’m…years old.” 2. “How tall are you? Do you know?”(教师比划,让学生理解tall的意思)。 “Sorry,I don’t know.”教师拿出卷尺,叫学生上来量身高。写下身高的数字并引导学生回答。“I’m 153 centimeters tall.”Teach tall and centimeters.带读。Ask students:”How tall are you?”帮助学生量身高。
3. 用同样的方法来学习“How heavy are you?”用电子秤帮学生称体重。引导学生回答“I’m 32 kilogrammes.”Teach heavy and kilograms.练习句型。 4. T:Are you strong? Ss:Yes.
T:Great! But Peter looked weak.His mother was worried about him.She took him to the doctor.(板书week worried doctor并通过动作来让学生理解单词的意思。) Let’s listen to the tape and answer these questions: A:How old is Peter? B: How tall is Peter? C: How heavy is Peter?
5. Listen again and check answers.
6. Listen and read Part A after the tape. 模仿其语音、语调,掌握新词难句的正确读音。

【教学反思】
完成本单元的教学,我觉得学生掌握得较好的地方有以下几个方面:
1、基本掌握单元B部分单词及单词表中的黑体单词“doctor,age,little”; 2、能够运用句型询问他人、描述自己的身体状况(如姓名,身高,体重,健康状况等)
3、能够熟读课文A部分,进行了“看医生”的情境表演,表现出一定的综合运用语言的能力。
但是在以下几个方面,学生还有待加强:
1、单位centimetre,kiogramme的读还不是特别熟练,数字的表达不够流畅。 2、本单元A部分有较多的生词,学生对其读音及含义的了解还不够。
3、课文C部分的问答题是以过去时的形式出现,学生进行时态的转换有困难。 4、学生习惯了用“第一人称”介绍自己的情况,对于E部分要用“第三人称”描述他人的情况,不能做到得心应手。
Unit seven: These horns are too big.
单元分析:
本单元呈现了一个故事,要求学生理解并复述、表演故事,教育学生不要轻易相信坏人。同时要求学生能模仿句型“These horns are too big.”描述事物的特征。
学情分析:
本单元的故事教学在这套书中是第一次出现,对学生来说很有新鲜感但难度也不小。故事中有较多的动词过多式,会影响学生读故事,需加大对这些单词的练习力度。

本单元的故事教学,我围绕故事学单词,并带领学生理解、读、复述、表演故事,学生的学习积极性较之别的单元要高。在第一课时,我利用“狮子”、 “公牛” 的图片绘声绘色地给学生讲故事,帮助学生大致了解本单元的主要内容。然后利用图片学习本单元B部分单词,同时将单词的学习融入句子之中,解决了“These horns are too big.”/“Rub your horns against that tree.”故事中的两个难点句子。通过两看故事短片,在学生对故事有进一步的了解之后,要求学生完成C部分的问答题。第二课时,教学的重点工作是读、复述与表演故事。故事中,“狮子”与“公牛”的对话学生接受较快,但引语部分的句子对很多学生有难度。在故事表演环节,我要求学生以小组为单位,各尽其能,学生参与度大。第三课时,主要解决了课文D、E、F部分,但F部分的内容对学生来说难度太大。完成
本单元教学,我觉得较为满意,故事的表演,调动了每一个学生来参与活动,取得了较好的教学效果。
