考点一 did和done形式一致时,被误认为是主动语态,却忽略了主语为受动者

除了第1条情况可以添加be动词的适当形式以外,被动语态的误用还会以be doing的形式出现,此时将doing改为done的形式。

考点三 不能用被动的动词却用了被动

1) 不及物动词或不及物动词短语,如appear, die disappear, end(vi. 结束), fail, happen, last, lie, remain, sit, spread, stand, break out, come true, fall asleep, keep silence, lose heart, take place等没有无被动语态.例如: After the fire, very little remained of my house. 大火过后,我家烧得所剩无几. 比较:rise, fall, happen是不及物动词;raise, seat是及物动词.

要想正确地使用被动语态,就须注意哪些动词是及物的,哪些是不及物的.特别是一词多义的动词往往有两种用法.解决这一问题唯有在学习过程中多留意积累.

2) 不能用于被动语态的及物动词或动词短语,如fit, have, hold, marry, own, wish, cost, notice, watch agree with, arrive at / in, shake hands with, succeed in, suffer from, happen to, take part in, walk into, belong to等.例如:

This key just fits the lock. 这把钥匙只配这把锁.

Your story agrees with what had already been heard. 你说的与我们听说的一致.

3) 系动词无被动语态,如appear, be become, fall, feel, get, grow, keep, look, remain, seem, smell, sound, stay, taste, turn等.例如:It sounds good. 听上去不错.

【解析】Get+pp的结构中通常不接by sb.,但有时接by sth. 4) A library with five thousand books are offered to the nation as a gift. 【答案】are改为is

【解析】A library是offer的承受者,要用被动语态,又因主语library是单数。 5) Great changes have been taken place in our city since 2000. 【答案】been去掉

Questioning can lead to searching for an answer. If we are in the habit of asking whether that we are told is true, we can find the correct answer and learn more.

Two years ago, our teacher, Mr. Alex offered us an answer of a difficult math problem in class. Because the answer seemed a little strange, nobody but I doubted it. Thought that his solution might be wrong, I carefully analyzed the problem and try to work it out in a different way. Half a hour later, I managed to find the correct answer. 就可以找到正确的答案并学到更多。分析句子If we are in the habit of asking whether that we are told is true,可知,宾语从句中的主语从句that we are told中缺少一个宾语缺少宾语一般用what,所以句中的 that→what。

2.考查固定用法。the answer to the problem 为固定用法,意为“问题的答案”,不能用of, 只能用to,故把of→to。

3.考查语境。句意:亚历克斯老师给我们提供一道数学难题的答案。尽管答案似乎有点奇怪,但只有我怀疑这个答案。根据语境可知,前后两句是转折关系,而非因果关系,因此Because→Although/Though。 4.考查省略句。句意:我认为他的解决办法可能是错误的,我仔细地分析了问题。分析句子Thought that his solution might be wrong, I carefully analyzed the problem…可知,本句省略句。从句的主语与主句的主语I是一致的,所以从句的主语省略,此时要用非谓语。分析句子可知,主语I与think二者是主动关系,即用非谓语中的动词ing,而不是过去分词,因此Thought→Thinking。

7.考查不定代词。我的老师Mr. Alex是个男的,所以When I showed my answer to her中的her要用him。因此 her→him。

8.考查语境。根据句意可知,“老师表扬了我的独立思考”,独立思考,要用independent thinking,dependent 意为“依靠的,依赖的”,不符合语意。因此把dependent→independent

9.考查主动与被动语态。句意:从这段经历中,我了解到,…。句子的主语是I与动词learn二者是主动关系,是“我了解到…”。因此删除been。

10.考查语法结构。分析句子…questioning can serve as a bridge helps us to seek the truth可知,help是介词as的宾语a bridge的定语,要用非谓语,二者是主动关系,所以helps→helping。还可以把这个非谓语改为定语从句。即先行词a bridge在从句中作helps的主语,所以要用关系词which或that。因此在bridge后加which/that 或把helps→helping。
