摘要：Amylopectin potato starch (APPS) is used as the starch material in an
evaporatively-drying, aqueous adhesive formulation (or adhesive precursor), optionally incombination with conventional additives such as rheology improvers, foam suppressants,stabilizers, preservatives and/or other, possibly non-starch-based adhesives orprecursors. Independent claims are also included for:- (1) carboxymethylated,cyanoethylated, carbamoylated or hydroxybutylated APPS which is epi-crosslinked,adipate-crosslinked, acetal-crosslinked and/or phosphate-crosslinked and APPS which iscrosslinked with epichlorhydrin, adipic acid and/or aldehydes, all with a degree ofderivatization of 0.00001-3, preferably 0.001-2, most preferably 0.005-1; (2) a process forthe production of new crosslinked APPS by crosslinking with epichlorhydrin, adipic acidand/or aldehydes; and (3) a process for the production of new derivatized APPS in whichthe starch is crosslinked before etheration.
