摘要：The invention relates to a method for measuring distances between a railvehicle and objects arranged to the side of the rail vehicle (1), in particular a platformedge (7), during the journey of the rail vehicle (1), wherein - during the journey, a firstmeasuring system (12), in particular an ultrasonic measuring system, is used to repeatedlymeasure first measured values of the lateral distance, - during the journey, a secondmeasuring system (13), in particular a laser measuring system, is used to repeatedlymeasure second measured values of the lateral distance, - the accuracy of the firstmeasuring system (12) is greater than that of the second measuring system (13), but themeasurement frequency, that is to say the frequency with which measured values arerecorded, of the first measuring system (12) is lower than that of the second measuringsystem (13), - distance values are calculated by combining the first and second measuredvalues, which distance values represent the lateral distance of the rail vehicle (1) on thebasis of the time during the journey and/or on the basis of the location on the route.
